About Sue and Sherry

Susan Lyle exchanged a management career in the Food and Beverage Industry in norther B.C. and the Kootenays for a career in real estate in 1989. She moved to Vancouver Island in 1991 to be a partner in Shawnigan Mill Bay Realty. In order to serve her clients better, she merged Shawnigan Mill Bay Realty with Victoria's largest independent real estate firm, DFH Real Estate in July of 2000.

Sue owns the office building in Shawnigan and resides above it with her daughter, golden retriever and cat. She believes she found the perfect place for her busy lifestyle. The South Cowichan Valley is safe for kids and pets, provides easy access to the great outdoors, and is just close enough to Victoria for special events.

Sherry is a perfect fit as a partner for Sue as they both set the bar high when it comes to professional ethics and standards of practice. They also share a belief that it's okay to have fun at work if you get the job done, and do it well.

Sherry Kayra  spent her childhood years in a remote fishing village off the west coast of Vancouver Island. 

She moved to Sidney to finish off her high schooling and put in a year at UVIC.  It was there that she got her start in Real Estate as one of three in the new Block Bros. Office.
 
She later returned to Kyuquot to run the family business (general store, post office and airline outpost) until she migrated to Shawnigan Lake in 1991 and returned to her Real Estate career. 

While here, along with her husband, she helped design and build their family home where they raised their two children.

Sherry still lives in Shawnigan Lake and enjoys the friendly, easy going lifestyle it offers while being only 30 minutes from Victoria and all it's amenities. 

If you don't find Sherry at the end of her pager, it's likely that she is off on a trip somewhere as she loves to travel.

Working with Sue Lyle as a full partner gives her the freedom to do this with the comfort of knowing that her clients will be in good hands and well looked after.  It's a partnership that works well for everyone.

Both Sue and Sherry believe that you can do great business and still have fun. After 8 years, the partnership just keeps getting better.
